The ZF 8HP is the best automatic gearbox of its generation — and until now, running one behind a standalone ECU meant compromises. The CADE 8HP Controller is our in-house gateway and TCU platform that lets a BMW 8HP live behind a Haltech ECU with factory-grade shift quality: full bidirectional CAN translation, torque coordination during shifts, and a fail-safe strategy designed like an OEM's.

  • Torque coordination during shifts (≤3 ms latency target)
  • OEM-style fail-safe state machine with limp strategy and diagnostics
  • Onboard datalogging of every signal, streamed live over USB-C
  • Desktop configuration software with per-vehicle CAN profiles
  • Third CAN channel reserved for chassis integration

Retains the BMW EGS and translates between it and your Haltech — the fastest path to a factory-quality 8HP conversion.

PHASE 2 — DIRECT TCU

The same hardware platform grows into full mechatronics control: solenoid current control, line pressure and speed-sensor capture, CADE shift maps.
