Australian-built Dynotech AWD dynamometer, used on every CADE tune and available for third-party hire. Real wheel power, eddy-current absorbers, SAE-corrected figures, and detailed data logging. Adelaide's premier performance dyno facility.
Our Dynotech AWD dynamometer is an Australian-designed and built eddy-current AWD chassis dyno rated to 1,500+ hp per axle. It uses proper load-cell torque measurement (not just calculated values from acceleration), which means figures are repeatable, accurate, and directly comparable across sessions.
We use SAE J1349 correction factors to adjust for ambient conditions, so a 500hp figure today will still read 500hp on a hot day next week. That repeatability is critical for proper tune development — we can validate real changes, not just weather.
The dyno is used for every CADE tune, but we also offer it for hire to independent tuners, workshops, and enthusiasts. If you need a genuine dyno sheet for insurance, resale, or race class verification, we provide signed reports with printouts suitable for any official purpose.
From a quick power check to full tune development on our AWD dyno.
Quick 3-pull session with printed graph. Ideal for checking power, validating mods, or getting a baseline.
Full custom ECU mapping on the dyno with road validation. The complete CADE tune experience.
Complete Stage 2 custom development with hardware installation and comprehensive before/after dyno documentation.
Our AWD dyno supports FWD, RWD, and AWD vehicles across every major European marque and most performance Japanese cars.
Choose a dyno pull, custom tune, or validation session. We confirm your vehicle and drive type for strap-down config.
Visual check of tyres, fluids, belts. Vehicle strapped to dyno rollers with proper tie-down. Cooling fans positioned.
Three correlated runs from 2000–redline. We monitor AFR, knock, coolant, and IAT on every pull.
Printed graph, signed report, and email PDF. Figures SAE J1349 corrected. Ready for insurance, resale, or bragging rights.
Yes. We offer hourly dyno hire on our Dynotech AWD dynamometer for other workshops, private tuners, and enthusiasts wanting to validate their own tunes. Cost is $250/hour with operator included. Book a minimum 2-hour session.
Engine HP (crank HP) is measured at the flywheel before power loss through drivetrain, transmission, and differentials. Wheel HP (what our dyno measures) is the actual power reaching the wheels. Typical drivetrain loss is 15–25% depending on the vehicle — a 500hp (at the crank) manufacturer claim might measure 400–425 wheel HP.
Our Dynotech AWD dynamometer uses eddy-current absorbers with a measured accuracy of ±1% under controlled conditions. We correct for atmospheric conditions (temperature, humidity, barometric pressure) using SAE J1349 standard. Back-to-back runs typically vary less than 1%.
Both. Full dyno development is performed for boost, fuel, and ignition mapping under controlled load. Road testing is then used to validate driveability, part-throttle response, and transient behaviour. Every CADE tune includes both dyno and road validation.
Yes. Pre-purchase dyno validation is a popular service for people buying used tuned cars. We run baseline pulls, read the ECU for tune version, scan for codes, and provide a written report on what the car is actually producing vs what was claimed. From $350.
A standard dyno pull and report takes 30–60 minutes. Full custom tune sessions with ECU mapping take 3–6 hours. Complex Stage 3 tune development can take 1–2 full days on the dyno.
