Our software
Is CADE’s software developed in-house?
Yes. Our software is designed, built and integrated in-house in Adelaide, South Australia: CADE-FLASH, the CADE File Portal, CADE CONTROL and the firmware in our CADE LABS controllers. Our calibrations are developed in-house by our engineers on our Dynotech AWD dyno.
Can my workshop use CADE software?
Yes. CADE-FLASH is available to workshops and independent tuners on one annual subscription with no per-flash fees, and the CADE-FLASH OBD interface is included. The CADE File Portal gives workshops access to CADE’s calibration library, and CADE CONTROL is licensed to tuning workshops. Ask us for a demo.
Can I go back to my factory software?
Yes. We keep a backup of your original calibration for every client and can restore stock software at any time. Typical cost is $150 (inc GST) for a restore flash.
ECU repair & programming
What’s the typical turnaround for an ECU repair?
Most ECU repairs at CADE Technologies are completed within 1–2 business days once we have the unit on the bench. Dealer workflows for the same repair typically take several weeks. We offer both drop-off and mail-in options for interstate clients.
Do you fix water-damaged ECUs?
Yes. Water and moisture ingress is one of the most common failure modes we see, particularly on under-bonnet DME units. We ultrasonic clean the PCB, repair corroded traces, replace damaged components, and bench-test before reinstallation. If the unit is unrecoverable, we can clone your data to a donor shell.
Can you fix dealer-locked ECUs?
Yes. CADE Technologies uses our in-house CADE-FLASH platform to read, repair, and reprogram ECUs that have been locked or coded out at the dealer. We support manufacturer security protocols for BMW, Mercedes, VAG, Porsche and more without voiding SCN/coding data.
Do you clone ECUs for MIL or immobiliser issues?
Yes. We regularly clone ECUs and engine modules and sync the immobiliser, CAS, FRM or EIS after a module replacement. This is faster and far cheaper than a full dealer recode, and retains your original calibration and mileage data.
What ECU and module brands do you work on?
We work on Bosch MED and EDC families, Siemens/Continental SIM and MS units, Delphi DCM, Marelli IAW, VAG MED9/MED17/MED41, BMW MSD/MSV/MEVD/MG1 and Mercedes ME9/MED40/MED177 amongst many others. Transmission, ABS, airbag, BCM, CAS, FRM and EIS modules are also supported.
Do you need the vehicle to complete the repair?
For most repairs we only need the unit itself. Remove it, send or drop it off, and we’ll repair and post it back with reinstallation instructions. Before posting a unit, email the part number, vehicle and fault to our team at Show email. For security-coded modules we may need the vehicle on-site for the final adaptation step.
